Yes, the FlexiRoam Starter Pack expires if it is not activated until the end of the calendar year.
For avoidance of doubt:
Redemption happens when you confirm your eligibility for the program and order your Starter Pack.
Activation happens when you scan the barcode in your Starter Pack to link your SIM Card to your FlexiRoam account.
Activation for eSIM is performed within an hour of redemption.
FlexiRoam SIM card and eSIM have a lifetime validity after activation and do not expire unless you choose to deactivate them. To continue using the FlexiRoam SIM card or eSIM for data roaming, you would simply have to purchase any Global Data Plan from FlexiRoam.

Yes, if your FlexiRoam account is already linked to an active SIM card or eSIM, you will only receive the Promotional Data Plan and 20% discount.
If your FlexiRoam account does not have an active SIM or eSIM linked, you will be able to redeem a Starter Pack (SIM/ eSIM + Data Plan) as well.
Once redeemed, your Promotional Data Plan can be activated anytime until the last day of the calendar year. Once you activate your Promotional Data Plan, you will be able to use it for the period stated.
The example of specific scenarios crossing over a new year provided the Promotional Data Plan is 1GB for 5 days:
If you redeem the benefits on 31st December 2024, you will be able to use your Data Plan until the expiry date on 5th January 2026 (provided that you have an eSIM/SIM Card and have activated the Data Plan by 31st December 2024 11:59:59PM).
If you redeem the benefit on 25th December 2024, you will be able to use it until the expiry date on 30th December 2024 (provided that you have an eSIM/SIM card and have activated the Data Plan on 25th December 2024).
If you redeem the benefits before or on 31st December 2024 11:59:59PM, however, the delivery of the Starter Pack will only be completed after 1st January 2026; you will only be eligible for the Starter Pack under year 2026 while the Data Plan under year 2024 will be terminated and you will have to redeem again in 2026.
If you did not verify that you have "Unlocked" the redemption by 31st December 2024 11:59:59PM, the benefits under year 2024 will be terminated and you will have to redeem again in 2026.
If you did not confirm the order by 31st December 2024 11:59:59PM, the benefits under year 2024 will be terminated and you will have to redeem again in 2026.
You will not be able to start the Data Plan until you have linked the Starter Pack to your account. If you redeem the benefits on 30th December 2024 and were not able to link the Starter Pack until the arrival of SIM card / X-Microchip after 3 working days which is on 2nd January, the Data Plan under year 2024 will be terminated and you will have to redeem again in 2026.
If you redeem the benefits on 1st January 2024 and receive the Starter Pack on 4th January 2024; but you did not activate the Data Plan 1GB (5 days) until 31st December 2024 11:59:59PM, the Data Plan under year 2024 will be terminated and you will have to redeem again in 2026.
Please navigate to Account > My Plans in the FlexiRoam app, locate your Promotional Data Plan and click on "Activate Plan".
Once you click "Activate Plan" it cannot be paused and the start date cannot be amended. Please only click "Activate Plan" on the date on which you wish to activate your Promotional Data Plan or “Schedule a Start Date” to activate only when needed.

You can get a full refund back into your FlexiRoam wallet credits only if you were unable to use the Data Plans that you’ve purchased.
Yes, while the App will automatically select an eSIM or physical SIM based on your device compatibility, if you need to choose a different option, please go on our website to redeem your benefit and choose your desired option for the Starter Pack.
If you redeem a SIM card, the Data Plan and SIM information will be loaded to your account once the SIM is linked. Instructions on how to link the Starter Pack to your account will be provided with the SIM.
